AUTOGRAPHS AND ANOTHER TESTIMONIAL…

While I do a lot of traveling around the country, there are plenty of folks who don’t have a chance to make it to the conventions I attend.  People often want to send something to get signed, but I usually caution against that so things don’t get lost in the mail.  I do have postcards that I am happy to sign and mail out.  All you have to do is send a self-addresed stamped envelope (don’t forget that extra stamp!) to my agent:

Arlene Thornton & Associates  ATTENTION:  Kyle Hebert
12711 Ventura Blvd Suite 490
Studio City, CA 91604

In other news, I just got another glowing review of my private voice acting critique session.  This is from Steven Hill……….

All I can say is the information that Kyle provided me was a tremendous insight. I cannot tell you how refreshing and encouraging to have someone take the time to offer great advice to an aspiring voice actor. Even before I made the financial commitment for a session with Kyle, he was always prompt and courteous to responding to my emails and pointing me in the right direction to do my research before the consultation. The first session completely exceeded my expectations. He was very honest and gave great directions to help me tweak and refine some of my talent during my reads.   I felt the insight given on the state of voice acting regarding its competitive nature to be very true. I am glad to hear that the industry is not all sunshine and rainbows…its is a long, arduous road, and thick skin is required. It is great to hear what you need to hear and be given honest direction on the tools needed to advance and be successful in my endeavors. I urge anyone on the fence about setting an appointment with Mr. Hebert to make the decision. It is a great investment and I for one look forward to our next consultation.

Thanks a ton, Steven.  Just a disclaimer guys, I don’t profess to be a voice acting coach or teacher.  There are many far more qualified than I’ll ever be.   I can’t pass your demo along, or get you work or representation.  This service is about sharing my expertise in the field about how auditions/sessions work, studio etiquette, and help beginner level voice actors experience cold reads, taking direction, and give honest feedback on their performances of provided script samples in animation and commercials.  If you have any demos or clips, I can evaluate those as well.  You can read more testimonials HERE.  Drop me a line if you’re interested in having an online session with me.  More info about it all can be found HERE.

WHAT’S UP IN HEBERTLAND….

Hugs n’ high fives to the fans, staff, and fellow guests at Anime Iowa this past weekend.  Saw many familiar faces and met many awesome new ones.  And you wouldn’t think one would find great sushi in the midwest, but believe me, it exists!  And it was walking distance from the hotel.  Next stop on the Baldies Shining Across the Globe Tour:  Edmonton, Alberta, Canada for ANIMETHON! This will be my 3rd visit there.  Other guests include the Dobson brothers (Michael, Paul, and Brian), Wendy Powell, Chris Cason, and Spike Spencer.  Voice acting insanity shall ensue.

Speaking of voice acting, I’ve just climbed on board to be an occasional content contributor over the uber cool Voice Actors in the News blog, headed by Craig Crumpton.  There are daily updates on everything going on in the voice acting world, so if you’re a fan, make sure to bookmark it. I’ll be sharing experiences and links here and there.  Other exciting announcements are pending on that blog, so stay tuned!

I’m also happy to announce I’m a guest over Thanksgiving weekend in Boise, Idaho for Tomodachi Fest 3.  Darrel Guilbeau and Chris Rager will be along for the ride as well.    I wonder how many cosplayers will be walking around in a turkey dinner-induced coma.  :)

Lastly, I’m happy to report I’ve been enjoying my new mic, the Marshall MX2003.  I’ve already managed to book work using it for home auditions, and I continue to crank many out on an almost daily basis.  The next goal is to get on a video game project where I can not only do voices, but also do motion capture for my characters.  Don’t you think I’d look dashing in a skin tight black suit covered in mini ping pong balls?  Yeah.  Me too.  I’ve noticed thus far that only skinny people do motion capture.  Hmmmmm…..
