One of my VO goals since childhood has been being on a Disney animated movie.  That dream came true last year with the release of “Wreck-It Ralph”.  Early in the film, my Street Fighter character, Ryu, graces the screen for a handful of seconds with a few lines.  I had four sessions, as the cameo was being rewritten, and I recorded solo.  Only director, Rich Moore, was present in the booth.  Talk about the coolest loophole in getting onto a major movie without being a celebrity!  Disney had a movie about video games and they actually wanted to lend some authenticity by utilizing the original VO talent for the various cameos.  In the 7 years I’ve been in LA, that was the best phone call to get from my agent.  Bar none.  The film went on to have great reviews, was a huge hit at the box office, and won many awards, including an Oscar nomination.  To be included in all of that magic, even in the tiniest way, is an indescribable sensation.  The blu-ray/dvd combo pack hit retail this week.  If you watch the freeze frame feature, you’ll see a familiar face.  ;D

Next up, also available this week, is “Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm 3” for PS3 and Xbox.  I voice Kiba, Akatsuchi, and Inoichi.

Lastly, if you’re in Buffalo, New York, there’s a one-day event this Saturday called FUBUKI-CON.  I’ll be doing a video game voice acting workshop, followed by a signing.  Hope you can stop by!

This weekend I’m headed to Troy, New York for  GENERICON, an anime/sci fi/gaming convention.  I’ve never been in the Albany area, so hopefully no wacky winter weather will keep us from having a blast.  I’ll have a signing table for autographs throughout the weekend with various times, but swing on by.  Otherwise here is where you’ll find me:
