The all time favorite is the late, great, Mel Blanc. I’ve been very fortunate to work amongst a community of incredible talent, based in Texas, and in California. My list is quite long but just to name a few folks that always blow me away: Billy West, Maurice LaMarche, Tara Strong, Rob Paulsen, Jim Cummings, Mark Hamill, Kevin Conroy, and Charlie Adler. I aspire to one day work with any or all of these living legends.
I’ve heard it said that roles are like children, you can’t really pick a favorite. I truly am just thrilled that I get to do what I love. Its not as financially sound as I wish, but whether its a bit part or a huge role, I’m always psyched to get behind the mic and bring those characters to life. I do have some stand outs though…..most recent one would be Kamina from Gurren Lagann. The Narrator and Gohan on DBZ will always be special, as that was my first show.
I discuss my character, Sosuke Aizen, on the behind-the-scenes featurette on the newly released “Bleach: Season 3″ boxset. The funny part is that it was recorded about TWO YEARS ago. 
I’m very happy to report that I won “Best English Voice Actor, Male” at the Society for the Promotion of Japanese Animation awards recently. I was nominated for my performance as Kamina in “Gurren Lagann”. Winners were chosen based on online votes. The very impressive thing about this is that the votes beat Samuel Jackson and Dave Wittenberg, which is pretty darn stiff competition. So I’d like to thank everybody: all of you who voted, and all who have supported me through the years, director Tony Oliver, Bandai Entertainment, Bang Zoom, and the stellar dub cast. Kamina is one of my all time favorite characters that I’ve had the privilege of voicing. I am truly honored.
