Ok, I can finally let the cat out of the bag…….I am voicing Kamina on the new Bandai dub of “Gurren Lagann”. I am not only super psyched to be playing such an awesome and beloved lead character, I’m super duper psyched that it will be airing on Sci-Fi Channel in just a few weeks! {nl}{nl}Its a bit of a bittersweet situation, in that I do feel bad for the dub cast at ADV (many of whom I know personally) who had already recorded an entire volume of the show. ADV lost the rights for whatever reason and Bandai snapped it up and decided to start the dub from scratch with an LA cast. To have a role yanked from you as an actor sucks royally, and I sincerely hope it doesn’t create any animosity. The Houston crew are phenomenally talented and I wish them continued success with future projects.{nl}{nl}I just got back from a signing at Anime Expo for another Bandai show that I’m attached to. Its a samurai-era story called “Ghost Slayers Ayashi”. I am playing Hozaburo, who leads a small band of warriors in protecting villages against supernatural invaders. The producer of the show called my role, the “Basil Exposition” of the show, since Hozaburo does explain a lot in each episode.{nl}{nl}”Gurren Lagann” is coming out very soon in a subtitled only DVD, with the dub version coming at year’s end or early 2009. “Ghost Slayers Ayashi” will have a regular and deluxe version with sub and dub.

If you’ve got a PSP, and ya dig a certain orange jump-suited ninja and his cohorts (although orange would make a bad ninja, I’d think), then head to your favorite game store this week and pick up “Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Heroes 2, The Phantom Fortress”. You can hear me as Kiba.
