PROJECT UPDATES AND ANIME EXPO…..

”Azumi”- I just finished recording the character of Kanbei on the dub of this live action samurai film. Its directed by Richard Epcar (Batou on “Ghost in the Shell”) and will probably be out on DVD later this year. This was my first time working with Richard and it was a blast. {nl}{nl}”Dragonball Z: Budokai Tekaichi 2″- Headed to Dallas to record as the Narrator, Gohan, and Pikkon over at Chris Sabat’s (Vegeta/Piccolo) pimped out recording studios, Okratron 5000. It will be coming out later this fall for PS2 and will also be on the new Nintendo Wii console. {nl}{nl}ANIME EXPO- If you can’t make it to Anaheim, you’ll be able to stream all the main events online for free! Opening/closing ceremonies, AX Idol, the masquerade, and more! Starting July 1, click on [link=www.AXBackstage.org]THIS LINK[/link] to stream video.{nl}{nl}NARUTO VA PANEL- At Anime Expo, Sunday night in Room 303 of the Anaheim Convention Center, from 6:30p to 7:30pm, I will attending a panel featuring the entire dub cast of “Naruto”. This is the first time everyone has gathered together at one time, so don’t miss out on this rare appearance. Q and A, stories from the booth, and maybe autographs? AUDITIONS, GIGS, AND APPEARANCES……OH MY!

The wheels are slowly starting to turn. April was probably the best month for me so far since I’ve moved to LA. I booked several video games, including one that I auditioned for through my agent (sorry, can’t drop names just yet). The time is creeping up to join the other big union that most actors belong to: AFTRA. And joining, while open to anyone, isn’t cheap. So, keep your fingers crossed I can make enough income to stay afloat and pay those wacky initiation dues.{nl}{nl}Make sure to catch new episodes of “Naruto” (I voice Kiba) Saturday nights at 9p eastern/pacific on Cartoon Network. I recently recorded for the second “Naruto: Clash of Ninja” Gamecube game, which is slated for release in the fall. Also recently recorded for “Super Dragonball Z” for PS2, which is currently in arcades in Japan. “Budokai Tenkaichi 2” should be hitting PS2 as well by year’s end.{nl}{nl}In just a few weeks, I’ll be returning to Animazement in Durham, North Carolina. Fellow VAs, Chris Cason (Gluttony on “Fullmetal Alchemist”), Caitlin Glass (Winry on “Fullmetal Alchemist”), and R. Bruce Elliot (Richard on “Case Closed”) will also be there. I’ll be doing my “Dubbing 101” panel again, where volunteers from the audience can attempt to match mouth flaps with random anime clips.{nl}{nl}I will be returning to Animefest in Dallas this September, Labor Day weekend. I will also be emceeing all the main events. {nl}{nl}{nl}And lastly, a plug for the podcast dedicated to news on everything geeky, “The Big Bald Broadcast”. Myself and Otherworld Steve are very excited that we’ve managed to get about 100 daily downloads on average for the past few months. Thanks for listening, and spread the word!

HEADING TO WISCONSIN……

This weekend I’ll be appearing at No Brand Con in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. Tiffany Grant and Matt Greenfield will also be hanging out. I’m irked because I can’t find my video camera, so there’ll probably not be any KYLE TV from this con (grrr). Keep your fingers crossed I find it in time for Animazement in late May. Anyhoozle, hope to see ya at No Brand!
