ANIME LOS ANGELES THIS WEEKEND…..

Though their website doesn’t show it, I will be a guest at this weekend’s Anime Los Angeles convention. I’ll be hanging out all weekend. I have my own Q and A panel on Saturday morning at 10am, plus my “Dub It Yourself” panel, immediately following at 11am. The con will be held at the Airtel Plaza Hotel in Van Nuys. NEW PROJECTS ON DVD AND UPDATES………

I’m behind in watching my “Fullmetal Alchemist” DVDs (I voice Vato Falman) but Volume 7 comes out this week. I did some bit part voices for the bridge crew on “Stellvia” Volume 8, which came out a few weeks ago. Though only a minor contribution, “Stellvia” marks my first recording at Bang Zoom studios in LA (under Wendee Lee’s direction, no less). {nl}{nl}I received my SAG card in the mail, which also represents a significant moment for me, personally and careerwise. For those who don’t know, anime is mostly non union, so I am now severely limited in opportunities. {nl}”Naruto” is a SAG union show, and I hope to audition for others as time goes on. {nl}{nl}Speaking of “Naruto”, I have a dedicated forum thread over at NarutoFan.com. I’ve been answering questions from fans regarding my role as Kiba. You can check that out HERE.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

The last year zoomed past and here we are. I don’t know about you, but I always liked even-numbered years better. They just sound “cooler”, don’t ya think? Though I have to admit, 2005 was a very significant year for yours truly. I turned my life topsy-turvy, made the big move to Los Angeles. Got signed with an agent. Got a part on the biggest anime show out there right now. Joined SAG. Been going to tons of animation and video game auditions. The podcast continues to gain listenership. I feel very lucky, and very thankful. Here’s hoping 2006 is fruitful for you and yours.

LINKS SECTION RETURNS AND OTHER UPDATES…..

Thanks to Otherworld Steve for putting up the snazzy “voice actor links” icon section (just scroll down a bit along the left hand column). Also added is the Screen Actors Guild union logo up top, as I have just received my documentation in the mail. This is the first of many steps to achieving the big goal. Hopefully in the course of 2006, I’ll be able to join AFTRA (the union that resides over commercials for radio/tv projects). Coming soon, I’ll post an mp3 of my interview with the “Iron Otaku” show from the UPOP Channel on XM Satellite Radio.
